Upper room ultra-violet UVC fixtures are designed to control the spread of airborne pathogens in healthcare, institutional facilities, government and commercial buildings and other locations. Properly installed and operated, they are designed to be used in occupied spaces. The high-energy portion of the UV spectrum called UV-C is most effective.
- Germicidal lamps are 254 nm/17,000-hour life (less then 8 mg of mercury/lamp) – UL Listed ballast with RFI-EMI rating
- Adjustable louvers, aimed slightly up, safely direct UVC above occupants
- Continuously cleans air in rooms, preventing airborne transmission of bacteria and viruses with coverage up to 200 sq. ft.
- Produces no ozone or other secondary contaminants while improving indoor air quality
- Fixtures should be mounted 7.5 ft. to 9 ft. above the floor to minimize potential of occupant exposure and maximize UVGI disinfection zone volume
